Mechanical Evaluation of Implant-Assisted Removable Partial Dentures in Kennedy Class I Patients: Finite Element Design Considerations

چکیده
The main purpose of this work was to construct a clinically valid numerical model mandibular Kennedy class I patient rehabilitated with conventional removable partial denture and another two implant-assisted dentures at different implant locations. selected classified as ASA its mandible geometry reconstruction performed by the conversion Cone-Beam computed Tomography (CBCT) scan raw medical data into 3D subsequent CAD file reverse engineering methods. soft tissue geometries were also included in well implants, ball attachments matrix. Moreover, periodontal ligament modelled offsetting mesh root surface each tooth. finite element results showed that installation dental bilateral edentulous regions helps providing support retention extension bases Removable Partial Denture (RPD) significantly reduces vertical anterior-posterior displacements, regardless position.

Implant-assisted removable partial denture: An approach to switch Kennedy Class I to Kennedy Class III
The Kennedy Class I and II distal extension situation poses a challenge to the prosthodontist as it inherently possesses a lack of stability, which may be attributed to the difference in compressibility of the mucosa and the periodontal ligament surrounding the distal-most abutment tooth. This results in a rotational tendency of the prosthesis around the line connecting its terminal abutments. ...

Purpose. This in vitro study investigates how unilateral and bilateral occlusal loads are transferred to an implant assisted removable partial denture (IARPD). Materials and Methods. A duplicate model of a Kennedy class I edentulous mandibular arch was made and then a conventional removable partial denture (RPD) fabricated. Two Straumann implants were placed in the second molar region, and the ...
